I am an experienced magazine editor and journalist with a background in life sciences. I have worked on several science and technology publications (see
biography) and I now work as a freelance journalist from my home in Bristol, UK. I am also fluent in German, due to a bi-lingual upbringing.
My
portfolio covers a large range of topics including engineering, nanotechnology, semiconductors, photonics, biotechnology, material science, chemistry and manufacturing. My portfolio also includes personal profiles, business news, market surveys, employment features and opinion pieces.
I have also developed a
training course designed to help scientists and engineers communicate with the media. The course covers a range of topics from how to identify what will make a good news story to writing press releases, conducting interviews with journalists and getting your work published. It is aimed at researchers in academia and industry and is ideal for anyone who wants to promote their work more effectively.
